• Education: Secondary degree, such as a high school diploma or a global equivalent
• Training: 21 contact hours of agile practices training (changing to 28 hours from March 2025) ‚Äì covered within this course
• Experience: 2 years of Agile project experience within the last 5 years,
  • or ‚Äì
    Experience: 1 year of agile project experience within the last 5 years if the candidate has an active third-party agile certification, they earned more than 1 year ago,
    or –
  • Experience: Individuals with an active PMP® certification are recognized as having the equivalent of 2 years of agile project experience and can use this to meet the requirement for the PMI-ACP. Note: Individuals with a current PMI certification excluding the PMP (e.g. PgMP®) who have documented agile and hybrid experience in the last 5 years can automatically count it towards the PMI-ACP experience requirements.

    Experience: Individuals with 1 year of agile project experience if they completed a PMI Global Accreditation Center for Project Management Education (GAC) program. (Notes: Completing a GAC accredited program also meets the 28 contact hours requirements

Firebrand's PMI-ACP® course aims to prepare you to sit the PMI-ACP® examination. Please note, the PMI-ACP® examination fee is not included as part of this course. The exam must be requested and paid directly with PMI.

Once you have successfully earned your PMI-ACP certification, maintain your certification by completing 30 professional development units (PDUs) every 3 years.
